What are eyelash extentions?

Eyelash extensions are high quality synthetic fibres of  Silk or Mink applied to your natural lashes to enhance your lashes and eyes.

Which lengths and curls do you stock?

Ilay currently stocks L, CC, C and D curls. 
Lengths are available from 9-16mm for the 'light volume' set. For the 'volume' and 'mega volume,' the lengths range from 9mm -17mm.

How often are infills required?

Industry standards recommend infills every 2-3 weeks. However, with Ilay you can get an infill when you have 40-50% of your extensions remaining. This is usually around the 3-4 week mark. Those who have less than 40% remaining will be charged for a full set.

How long does it take to apply a full set?

Full sets take 1.5-2 hours depending on the amount of natural lashes you have and your desired look.

Can I have a consultation?

Prior to starting the lash application process ILAY will have a 1 on 1 consultation with you where you can ask as many questions as you need, you will also be asked to complete a consultation form.

Can I get my lash extentions wet?

Yes, however you must wait 24-48 hours before getting your extentions wet in order for the lashes and glue to settle in and completely dry.

Can I use mascara?

ILAY does not recommend using mascara with lash extensions, chemicals within mascara can cause the breakdown of the lash glue and therefore for the lashes to fall out quicker, in addition to this mascara also causes the lash extensions to clump together and ultimately can lead to damaging your natural lashes.

Do I require a patch test?

A patch test is recommended to anyone who has not had eyelash extentions or LVL before. A patch test is COMPULSORY for new lash lift clients. If you require a patch test you are able to do so on the 'book online' section. Please book your patch test if necessary 24-48 hours prior.

Can i bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, appointments are 1 on 1 therefore no plus ones are accepted into the lash room however your friends may wait in the reception area.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Cash or bank transfer only.

What is your late policy?

Those who are more than 10mins late will have a £10 late fee. Those who are 15mins+ late will have their appointments canceled.

What is the rescheduling policy?

You may reschedule your appointment via email through the 'contact us' page or via Instagram messaging @ilaymualashes.

You can reschedule 48 hours prior to your appointment. 

Those who give less than 48 hours notice will have a £15 rescheduling fee. Further policies will be stated at checkout.
